About Mama Juggs

Anita Woodley is an award winning actress, mixed-media artist, and a multi-award winning national journalist. In 2011, she earned the "Best of the Best" M.A.L.I Film & Performance Arts Conference Award for Mama Juggs. An East Oakland native, Anita earned her B.A. in Radio and Television from San Francisco State University. A producer for North Carolina Public Radio’s nationally-syndicated show, The Story, Anita has received as number of awards including a Harry Chapin Radio Media Award, several National Association of Black Journalists Salute to Excellence Awards, and an Emmy with CNN.
